Employee Code of Conduct

This Employee Code of Conduct serves as a guide for all employees to understand their responsibilities and obligations in maintaining a workplace culture that reflects our values and principles.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations: All employees are required to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to the prevention of financial crime, including but not limited to corruption, bribery, money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, and terrorist financing. Any violation of these laws and regulations is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

2. Ethical Standards: Employees are expected to conduct themselves with honesty, integrity, and transparency in all business dealings, both internal and external. This includes refraining from engaging in any form of unethical behaviour or activities that may compromise the reputation or interests of Balanita Private Limited.

3. Prevention of Financial Crime: Employees must be vigilant in identifying and reporting any suspected instances of financial crime, including corruption, bribery, money laundering, fraud, and other illegal activities. Any attempts to engage in or facilitate such activities will not be tolerated and will be subject to severe consequences.

4. Reporting Channels: Balanita Private Limited provides dedicated reporting channels for employees to raise concerns about suspected financial crime. Employees are encouraged to report any such concerns promptly and confidentially to the Legal Department at [email protected]. Reports will be handled with the utmost confidentiality, and employees will not face retaliation for making good faith reports.

5. Investigation Procedures: Upon receiving a report of suspected financial crime, the Legal Department will conduct a thorough investigation in accordance with established procedures. The investigation may involve gathering evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and consulting with external authorities, as necessary. Employees are expected to cooperate fully with any investigation and provide truthful and accurate information.

6. Training and Awareness Programs: Balanita Private Limited is committed to providing ongoing training and awareness programs to educate employees about the risks of financial crime and their role in prevention. All employees will be required to complete a Learning Management System (LMS) module and quiz on this topic as part of their onboarding process and annually thereafter.

7. Review and Updates: This Employee Code of Conduct will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure it remains current and effective in addressing the evolving landscape of financial crime risks. Any updates or revisions will be communicated to all employees promptly.
